Waste Heat

Power for approximately 10 million American homes currently evaporates into thin air in the form of waste heat from industrial smokestacks and oil and gas processing. TAS Energy’s heat-to-power (H2P) unit is one of the most advanced in the industry.

Solar Thermal

Concentrated solar projects are not abundant in the U.S. largely due to financing and water supply difficulties.  TAS Energy is reinvigorating an old market with its advanced design solar-to-power (S2P) organic rankine cycle unit.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

TAS Energy formed its Modular Data Center segment to focus our packaging and integration skills on the unique needs of this market’s large use of energy and cooling. With a vast majority of the non-computer energy usage being dedicated to the cooling solutions, TAS Energy’s ability to optimize and reduce the total life cycle costs of the cooling infrastructure provides high value to the owners and operators of data centers. TAS Energy has provided over 900,000 tons of cooling for projects around the world in a packaged, modular, repeatable, pretested manner.

We have spent thousands of engineering hours on integrating our cooling solutions with power modules to interact with a data center’s infrastructure in the most optimized manner, and have even developed a custom modular product to integrate the infrastructure, power module and cooling solution as one optimized system for highest efficiencies and lowest life cycle costs.

Cooling Solutions

TAS Energy chilled water plant product designs range from 200 to 8,000 tons for individual units. These units are designed and constructed for flexibility according to our customer’s needs TAS Energy has provided modular cooling solutions for data centers for over seven years, and provided large scale comfort cooling solutions since 1999. These modular solutions can incorporate water side free cooling, variable frequency drives, and thermal energy storage.

Electrical and UPS Modules

TAS Energy can also provide integrated and electrical/diesel and UPS modules fully electrically wired and tested before it leaves the TAS factory. We work with our customers to define the scope of the electrical one-line to give the best value to the customer. Electrical modules can contain any assortment of switchgear, panel boards, and motor control centers. Integrated diesel generator and UPS packages minimize delivery and on-site installation and commissioning times.

Complete Modular Service Modules

For smaller data center applications, TAS Energy builds complete grid interconnection solutions that provide grid step down transformers, backup generators, UPS and cooling systems. These rapidly deployable units can support 50 to 300 KW of critical load in a compact footprint. Multiple modules can support larger loads.
