The Project Site Manager is responsible for all site operations and ensures efficient and profitable execution of TAS' programs, policies and expectations. This role is responsible for the overseeing the administration and execution of assigned projects in a safe, profitable and timely manner and within customer specifications and expectations
This role will establish and maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers and participate as requested in the marketing, estimating, bidding and contract negotiation phases of the projects assigned.
You need a very broad base of experience with the entire process of construction. You will manage the contract & project through the full life cycle of installation, start-up and close-out. You will be responsible for negotiating with subcontractors, managing the field labor force, initiating and negotiating change orders, and insuring the satisfaction of end-users and others in the contract chain.
The Site Manager must be detail oriented and ensure that quality standards are achieved in order to deliver superior products and services. Candidate must be able to coordinate and work well with subcontractors and owners.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute flawlessly against all at-site initiatives while maintaining standards to create an outstanding customer experience
- Manage site processes to deliver TAS standards in the areas of customer service, control, compliance and safety
- Analyze site financials and take action as needed
- Control site cash and inventory
- Manage site employee performance and development
- Provide upward feedback on project performance and issues/ideas that arise in the field
- Project enthusiasm and excitement to build customer relationships and continue to grow base of regular customers
- Proactively manage site administration duties, labor scheduling, inventory replenishment and cash/shrink control
- Comply with all safety, security, environmental regulations, emergency operation procedures, company policies, procedures and guidelines
JOB SKILLS:
- Ability to comprehend engineering related documents such as P&ID’s, Control Systems Architecture Drawings, Electrical One-Line Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and database usage.
- Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA Standards
- Making daily decisions affecting project schedule, quality and cost.
- Completing projects on schedule and within budget.
- Enforcing quality standards.
- Understand and implement details
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years experience in Project Site Management with significant level of experience in a packaged equipment type of environment.
- Project experience in Schools, Medical Buildings, Hospitals Office Buildings, Retail,
Parking Garages or Hospitality - Experience managing commercial ground up projects from $5 to $50 million.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program, PMP Certification would be a plus.
- A substitution of military leadership and/or technical work experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive travel to both domestic and international job sites
- Ability to work in field construction conditions is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Attendance to meetings and some equipment inspection in a shop environment may be required. Performs physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading. . The incumbent will be subject to both “inside” and “outside” environmental conditions. Outside conditions may include standing, walking, and climbing of stairs or ladders. Travel, including commercial air travel is required.
